IGY
I got you.
Terms of Service
Last updated 15 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and IGY. By creating an account you accept them. Please read them — particularly the parts about what IGY is and isn’t responsible for.
What IGY is
IGY is a way to ask people you already know for help, and to say yes when they ask you. It is built around existing relationships: your connections are people you invited, or who invited you, or who were recommended by someone you’re already connected to.
IGY is an introduction, not a service provider. We do not employ, contract, manage, supervise, train or direct anyone who offers help through IGY. We are not an agency, a staffing service, or a babysitting, pet care or home care provider.
What we don’t do
We do not run background checks. We do not verify qualifications, licences, insurance, driving records or criminal history. We do not check anyone’s references. We do not vet, screen or approve the people on IGY, and the fact that someone appears in your connections is not a recommendation from us.
The judgement is yours. Deciding whether to let someone into your home, near your children, or responsible for your pets is your decision and yours alone. Take the time you would take anyway — ask questions, meet first, check with the person who recommended them. IGY makes the asking easier; it does not make the decision safer.
Who can use IGY
You must be 16 or older to have an account. You must use your real name, give accurate information, and keep your account to yourself.
Money
Any payment is agreed directly between the two people involved and settled directly between them. IGY never handles, holds, processes or guarantees payment, takes no commission, and is not involved if there’s a disagreement about money. A price shown in the app is what the two of you agreed — nothing more.
What’s expected of you
Be honest about what you need and what you can do. Turn up when you’ve agreed to. Tell the other person as soon as you can if you can’t. Treat people’s homes, families and animals with care. Don’t use IGY to harass anyone, to advertise, to collect people’s information, or for anything illegal.
We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms or puts someone at risk.
Things that go wrong
Help arranged through IGY happens between two people in the real world. We are not responsible for what happens during it — including injury, loss, damage, theft, or anyone failing to turn up or to do what they agreed.
We are not responsible for anything anyone says or does on IGY, or for the accuracy of what anyone tells you about themselves.
IGY is provided as it is. We do our best to keep it working and accurate, but we don’t guarantee it will always be available, that notifications will always arrive, or that it will be free of errors. Don’t rely on IGY alone for anything urgent or safety-critical.
To the fullest extent the law allows, IGY and its owners are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of IGY, and our total liability to you will not exceed one hundred US dollars.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.
What you write stays yours. You give us permission to store it and show it to the people you chose to share it with, so that IGY works. We don’t use it for anything else.
Ending it
You can delete your account at any time: Profile → Account → Delete account. We may close an account that breaks these terms. The sections about responsibility, liability and money continue to apply afterwards.
Changes
We may update these terms. We’ll change the date above, and tell you in the app if a change is significant. Continuing to use IGY after a change means you accept it.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States.
